Fall Decor...

My family room is all decorated for Halloween & I've decorated my entryway & living room with simple fall decor.
Here is my entryway this year...
I just filled a glass vase with some fall flowers & filled the bottom with candy corn.
Then I placed a pumpkin on the bottom shelf of the hall tree.

It's simple, yet it makes me happy every time I walk by!

Halloween Decorations

I love Halloween!
My kids get so EXCITED & their excitement is contagious!

I've had this idea for a few years to make covered backs for the shelves in my family room.
I wanted them to be interchangeable for the different holidays.
I finally made them this year!
It all started last weekend when we were at Target & my husband found an outdoor fireplace on clearance for $17 bucks!
Isn't it cute?
It roasts marshmallows perfectly too & The cardboard box came in handy for my shelf idea!
I measured the backs of the shelves, cut my cardboard pieces & wrapped them in black & white polk-a-dot wrapping paper.

These are my shelves before...
Here they are with the decorative backing...
AND
Here they are all decorated for HALLOWEEN...

I love how they turned out!

My kids thought it was "spook"-tacular!
Now I just need to add some candy to my "mummy" dish!

Our family room is officially ready...
We got the witch flying over the moon a few years ago at an after Halloween clearance sale.
Then I made some paper bats to hang up around her.  It's one of my favorite decorations!

I always add a fall wreath to the fireplace.
Then I replace my candles with pumpkins.
We found our haunted house last year at T.J. Maxx & I've had the cat for years.

I always know we've gone a little crazy when my sister walked in & said,

My "Boo" Frame...

I got a package of some cute wooden pumpkins the other day & couldn't wait to make a project with them.
So I took an old frame I already had& put a quick coat of black paint on it...this frame has been red, white, brown & now black! I love the power of paint!
Then I traced the letters..."BOO" onto some paper & painted them black.  Then I just placed them in the openings & glued my wooden pumpkin to the top of the frame. Looking at it, I think I might add some distressing on the edges too.

I'm not sure if this is where I'll keep it...I just started pulling out all my fall decor.
It's going to take some work to put it all together this year!

Parade Of Homes {Part 4}

A few more of my favorite homes included plenty of woodwork & color!
I love the wooden corbels above this back door!
I've been wanting to add a few to our house, I'm hoping it's one of our next projects!
I think they add so much character to a home.
This was house #12 and was actually designed by Utah Bloggers!
 It was adorable!!
They definitely paid attention to details!  I love the woodwork on these walls & the light fixture!
The home was built by Bangerter Homes.

Another one of my favorite houses was #21 by Tree Haven Homes.
It was full of custom woodwork...
Isn't this kitchen beautiful?
(The pictures from my phone don't do it justice.)
I love that the wood on the island is a soft blue color!

Then when we walked into the mudroom...I fell in LOVE!
It was big & included everything a mudroom should have:
 Seating...
 Lockers...
And
A built-in desk with plenty of storage!
I also love that they painted the wood a pretty yellow color & distressed it perfectly!

This was the gorgeous family room...sorry the pic is a little blurry, but isn't it beautiful?
Once again they added beautiful woodwork & decorated with pops of color!
Since I've blogged about all of MY favorites,
I guess I should add what my husband liked the most...
Now is that a garage or what?  It was HUGE!
There is definitely PLENTY of room for all kinds of toys!
It was house #22 built by Silverhawk Enterprises.

If you'd like to see a list of all the houses you can find them Here.
I've also included links to my other blog posts about my favorites:
The Parade Of Homes was wonderful this year & it had some great houses & wonderful ideas!

Decorated "Boy" Bedrooms...Parade Of Homes {Part 3}

The first one that caught my eye was so unique!
It was a pirate themed bedroom.
Don't you love the boat bed?
My boys would love this!
It was super fun!
This was from house #22 by Silverhawk Enterprises.

My boys would of gone crazy for this room!
A space bedroom...
 It was awesome!!
The shelf along the wall is the perfect touch! I also LOVED how they  painted the walls & ceiling!
They added such great details with the woodwork & decorations.
I also think the hanging astronaut suit is adorable!
My boys already have a space bedroom, but not quite like this!  You can see it here.
This room was from house #23, which was built by D.R. Horton.  It was a beautiful house!
The next room is definitely a bedroom that you could use for boys & girls.
It would work perfect if you needed a few kids to share a room.
Look at these great built-in bunk beds...
All of my kids would love this room!
I also love the alphabet above them...simple & cute!
I used those same letters in my boys' room!  I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby.
This was from the builder model homes section & was house L.
It is called the Grand Hampton, by Hardrock Homes.

You can see {Post One} about my favorite "girl" bedrooms HERE.
&
{Post Two} about my favorite overall house is HERE.

All of the posts were about my "favorites" from the Salt Lake Parade Of Homes.
