Chair Makeover Using Rockwell Sonicrafter F50

Two months ago my husband and I decided to give our kitchen table a makeover. I do not have any before photos but our table was in pretty bad shape. It was covered in scratches and had several water rings. After looking through pinterest for inspiration, this is what we came up with.

We sanded down the entire table, painted the base white, and stained the top with a dark walnut stain. We

Christmas Mantle/Family Room Decor

Here is our mantle this year...
I really like how it came together!
I filled my lanterns with little trees and used epsom salt for the snow.
Then I just added the greenery/berries to the top of them.
I got this cute metal bucket to place my tree in this year.
We are a family of "6", so it was perfect that they had printed "No. 6" on the burlap!
Here is a view of the whole room.

I love my Peace, Love & Noel sign.
The burlap backing also matched the burlap sign on the bucket for our tree!
I also added a Christmas pillow to the couch.
I love how cozy Christmas makes our house feel.
I'm thinking our dog Mickey feels the same way!
After getting all of the decorations up, I was ready to collapse on the couch too.
I'm always surprised by how much work it is to get it all set up.
Now I'm hoping we can just relax and enjoy the Christmas season!

Red, White & Silver Christmas Tree

I got our tree up over the weekend!
Last year, I decided to try an all silver tree and I did love it, but I missed having some red color in the tree.
You can see my tree from last year HERE.

 Our tree this year...
I love the mix of berries, pinecones, birds and sparkle!
Red always makes it feel like Christmas to me!

I used my same "Merry Christmas" sign from last year.
The red bird was a gift from my aunt.
I actually took a garland that had the flock greenery and pinecones on it and cut it into pieces.  Then I  placed it throughout my tree.  It makes it feel a little rustic and it matches the garland that I have on my piano and entryway table, so it pulled it all together.
Then I added a few red berries and some red sparkle twigs throughout the tree to add some color.
The topper and star are also from last year.  My little boy says we need a red star because he can hardly see it...He might be right!

Here it is all lit up at night!
It definitely makes our house feel cozy!

Christmas Mantel - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  I'm so thrilled I finally have a fireplace again! It's been so many years since I've had one.

I couldn't wait to decorate it! I made the stockings out of some blue linen fabric and vintage lace I already had on hand.  I had the stocking pattern for over 10 years and never used it until now!

I used all the Christmas picks and ribbon that I used

Christmas In The Kitchen...

This is my new favorite room to decorate...
It feels so bright and cheery!
I'm loving my centerpiece on my table.
The greenery is actually an extra garland that I wasn't using this year...It filled my little box perfectly!

I tied ribbon on my pendant lights.
I also hung a wreath with the same ribbon.
This little shelf is so fun to decorate!
I got the star from Ikea.
It really brightens up my kitchen window!
It looks really pretty at night too...
Our chalkboard is also fun to use for decorating for the holidays.
I filled my little tray with greenery and pinecones.
This is the first year we've had a little Christmas Village...
I love how it glows at night!

Here is the view from my Great Room...
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!
 I love it!!
